Many small to medium sized businesses have good business plans that need additional funding. However, as a small business it may be difficult to obtain asset finance due to lack of trading history or security.

The Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) helps businesses secure funding once all personal assets have been exhausted.

The main features and criteria of the scheme are:

• The ability to guarantee loans of up to £250,000 and with terms of up to five years.
• Availability to businesses in most sectors and for most business purposes.
• Availability to qualifying UK businesses with an annual turnover of up to £5.6million.

 

In order to apply for finance under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme you must have a competent business plan including financial projections and a clean credit history.
